Leave most of the crowds in the canyon valley and travel east up the switchback road and through the long one-way tunnel
to the high badlands above and you won't regret it.
Just on the far side of the tunnel, is a small turnout on the right side of the road.
Across the street from this turnout is a relatively short, although steep at first, trail to a great lookout over the canyon.
